For Dersch on Tulegatan, we created a complete satellite serving area on a limited space adjacent to the restaurant. With decking, height-adjustable windbreaks, a pink Schatello parasol, infrared heaters, lighting, flower boxes and marble tables, a personal and functional outdoor dining area was created.

För La Recette i Kristiansand fick vi vara med från första idé och ritning till en färdig, sammanhållen restaurangmiljö. Med en specialanpassad pergola med olika utfall, vindskydd, markiser och värme över hela serveringen skapades en uteservering som kan användas stora delar av året. Vi levererade även stolar och bord till restaurangen, vilket gav en tydlig röd tråd mellan ute och inne, både i uttryck och funktion.

How we secure your project
We follow the same process for every outdoor dining project. You will have a dedicated contact person, the same documentation follows throughout from initial sketch to installation, and nothing falls through the cracks between us, the landlord, and the authorities. The result must be functional once the area is in operation.
Phase 01
The goal is to understand the project's scope and ambition level, and to determine the clarity of the documentation. At this stage, the project can often be assessed at a high level to provide early direction.
Phase 02
This phase is used when multiple stakeholders are involved, technical and practical decisions remain, and project feasibility needs to be secured before commitment. It involves responsibility, coordination, and decision support – not just drawings.
Phase 03
The final phase involves production and installation. Our installers and craftsmen realise the project with millimetre precision and an uncompromising focus on finish.

Terrace awnings, restaurant awnings, roof awnings, screen awnings, and larger awning solutions with support legs or free-standing structures. We adapt the solution to the site and can integrate lighting, heating, printed fabric, and automated controls.
Pergolas for restaurants, hotels, and other outdoor environments – from simple weather protection to complete solutions for year-round use. We work with adjustable louvered roofs, sliding louvered roofs, overlapping slats, and retractable fabric roofs. The pergola can be complemented with glass sections, screens, lighting, heating, and control systems.
Restaurant parasols for everything from smaller outdoor dining areas to large and wind-exposed environments. We supply robust professional parasols with high wind ratings, simpler models, and design parasols where aesthetics are key. Can be supplemented with, for example, lighting, heating, and custom fixings.
Glass and partitions that protect against wind and weather without obstructing the surroundings. We supply electric vertical glass panels, adjustable height windbreaks, sliding glass, fixed glass sections, glass doors, and wrought iron fences.
We build decking, flooring, and raised podiums for outdoor dining areas. The construction is adapted to the site's conditions and can be integrated with railings, glass sections, furniture, and other parts of the outdoor dining area.
When a standard solution is not sufficient, we build what is needed. Free-standing awning frames, custom-built steel constructions, fixings, and other bespoke constructions – adapted to the site and the products to be installed.
The outdoor dining area is also part of the restaurant's facade and brand. We assist with foils, decals, signs, printed awning fabrics, and illuminated LED valances. Branding can be integrated directly into awnings and other structures.
Heating and lighting are integrated into the outdoor dining area to extend the season and create the right atmosphere even in the evening. We supply infrared heaters, integrated LED lighting, decorative lighting, and general lighting adapted to the construction.
Awnings, pergola roofs, glass, heating, and lighting can be combined into a single control system. We deliver solutions with app control, remote control, weather automation, and sensors, as well as functions linked to, for example, fire alarms and other overriding systems.
We supply furniture and furnishings as part of the complete outdoor dining area. Chairs, tables, sofas, planters, and custom-built furniture adapted to the space, use, and the restaurant's aesthetic.
A terrace is rarely stopped by the build. It is stopped when the documents are missing at the moment the landlord, the municipality or the police has to approve it. Everything below is drawn by our own design studio.

After installation
The warranty period is a minimum, not a lifespan. With planned inspections, replaced wear parts and proper handling between seasons, an outdoor dining area lasts considerably longer than the warranty.

Usually yes. Weather protection, pergolas and glazing normally require a building permit, and space on public land also requires police approval and a public-space lease. PS produces the drawings and documentation and drives the case with you, but the decision always sits with the municipality.
Construction itself is usually two to six weeks depending on scope. What controls the schedule is permits and lead times on pergolas and glass. If the terrace has to be ready for spring, start the project during the autumn or winter before.
With sliding glass, sealing sides, infrared heating and lighting you can stay open for most of the year. We calculate heating need and operation before you decide on a level, so the budget is based on how the space will actually be used.
Yes. Most of our terraces are full-responsibility projects where PS handles engineering, permits, production, installation and final inspection. You get one contact person and one schedule.
Price is driven by size, ground conditions, fixings, cabling, controls and whether a permit is required. The difference between a pure product delivery and an engineered full-responsibility project with installation and warranties is significant. We quote a fixed price after a site visit and give a realistic picture already in the first conversation.
Site analysis, structural and fixing solutions, coordination of power and controls, visualisation in 2D and 3D, and decision documentation. Engineering is a service and a cost of its own, and it is what makes the delivery right from the start.
Yes, if the conditions are already known — for example if you have drawings or a clear specification. A complete delivery with installation and warranties does require engineering.
We work with continuous check-ins. If the property owner's requirements change, or the substrate turns out to be different from the drawing, we adjust the plan and present priced alternatives before moving on.
Yes. We dismantle seasonal outdoor dining areas after the season and store them with us: fabrics and textiles kept dry to prevent mould, glass, furniture, and structural components labelled and protected. During the off-season, we repair and supplement, and in spring, we reassemble everything in time before the start of the season.
We work with continuous reconciliation. If requirements from the property owner change or if the documentation proves to be different from what was drawn, we adjust the plan and present alternatives with prices before proceeding.
A site visit costs nothing and gives you a clear answer on what is feasible in your specific space.
Suppliers and partners

Profiles, fabric, glass, motors and controls are specified for what the project demands. Established supplier channels give known lead times, the right spare parts and service on site years after installation.
